# Customizing READMEs

> Use the write-readme skill to have your coding agent write app and runbook READMEs.

The `write-readme` skill teaches your coding agent to write app and runbook [READMEs](https://docs.nuon.co/guides/using-readmes.md). It covers
the `<nuon-*>` display components and defensive rendering, so a README never fails to render.

## Install the skill

If your client is [connected to the Nuon MCP server](https://docs.nuon.co/guides/agents/setup.md), ask for the skill by name and it loads on
demand.

Otherwise, install the skills from [nuonco/skills](https://github.com/nuonco/skills) using npx.

```sh theme={null}
npx skills add nuonco/skills
```

You can also install individual skills.

```sh theme={null}
npx skills add nuonco/skills/write-readme
```

## Try it

```
Load the write-readme skill and add a section to my app README that shows each install's public URL.
```
